Americans´ Perceptions of Germany
For this lesson, I asked my German students to write mind-maps of their associations with America and Americans. Then I asked them to work in pairs writing a short essay on their perceptions of America. Afterward I showed them my friends (all Americans) perceptions of Germans, and we had a class conversation about the validity of cultural stereotypes.
