USA quiz + answers
This sheet with questions about the USA can be used as quiz questions for groupwork or individually. However, it is more fun to auction these sentences. Divide the class into groups of 4/5 pupils. Give the groups a few minutes to decide whether the statements are true or false. Each groep needs a team captain, who does the bidding. Only bid on sentences which you think are true. Groups start off with e.g. 20000 euros and bid 10 euros each time. The group which bids the most buys the sentence and has to pay for it. After each sentence tell the class whether the sentence is correct. If the sentence is correct they earn 1 point, if it is incorrect they just lose the money they bid. The group with the most points wins the game.
