Guess Who (The game!!!) Black and White
First dictate the names, you can use the names in the classroom if you want. (That would be very nice!)
Then give instructions on how to color the drawings. It’ll take a while. I’ve done it in three different ways:
a) I say the name of the person and I describe him completely (John has green eyes, he has a brown mustache and brown curly hair.)
b) I name all the people who have a physicall characteristic (Ana, Joshua, Litzy, Sam and Rachel have green eyes. Peter, Paul, Samantha, Pamela and Raoul have blue eyes… )
c) I make a chart on the board where I write the name of those people who have green eyes, brown hair, black hair, etc.
After I’ve told my students how to color it I usually ask them to cover them with Plastic or Contact, so that they can play with them for a long time without damaging the paper. (This step is optional)
Then I have them cut all the squares and put them on their desks. They have to sit down in front of a classmate and play Guess Who the normal way… askingquestions such as “Does your character have green eyes?” After their classmate answers yes or no, they have to turn down all the characters who do not match the description.
The winner is the one who guesses their classmate’s character first!
