Dead or Alive
First, ask the students if they recognise any of the people along the top and bottom of the page. Ask them to discuss and share what they know. Then ask them to think of the famous person, dead or alive, that they would most like to meet. In the first box ask them to write who they´d like to meet and why they´d like to meet them (this should include a description and personality adjectives). Next, ask them to think of 5 questions they´d like to ask their chosen celebrity. As a follow up students can compare their work and discuss or even roleplay their meetings. To take it one step further you can put the students in to groups of 5+ and ask them to imagine they are having a dinner party. They can only invite 3 (adjust according to the size of the groups) of their chosen celebrities. Students have to argue for their person and against others and decide on a seating plan for their dinner party considering who would get on with who.
