Physical Appearance - Grammar, Vocabulary and Activity
This is a two page file with the first page focusing on a grammar trick for using "is" or "has" for describing people. The trick is that you use "has" when you can take something off or out and "is" when you cannot. For example, "He HAS blue eyes" and "She IS tall" because you could potentially take out someone´s eyes, but you could never take "tall" out of someone.
On the next page there is a VERY FUN ACTIVITY to practice describing people. One student draws a person they know quickly. Then, in pairs, one student describes their person while the other listens and tries to draw what they hear.
There is also another activity where students write down a description of someone in the class and then all the students in the class will try to guess who that student being described is.
Enjoy!
