Robots abilities and disabilities (Can/canīt)
This a reading, listening and writing task about robotsī abilities and disabilities. Audio script:
Hello, this is Jennifer. I want to talk a little bit about my new robot. His name is Hogan (H-o-g-a-n). He is a very special android. He is very intelligent and helps me with a lot of things. He wakes me up at 6am because I have to start school at 7:30. Then, he helps my mom to prepare breakfast. He can cook very delicious. I love his food! I go to school by bus, and Hogan stays home with my mom. He helps my mom to clean the house. He can clean the bathroom, do the beds and wash the dishes. When I come back from school at 2pm, he helps me with my homework. He can read very well, but he cant write.
In the afternoon, we play together. He is a very good friend. He can jump, dance and play with the ball, but we cant swim. At night, he reads me a book. He can read in 3 languages.
Hogan is also a Green robot. He likes to help the environment. Before going to sleep, my mom asks him to help her to unplug all the devices to save energy.
