Multiculturalism - What is it?
A colleague of mine is ill and I´ve been asked to give lessons to one of her classes (11th graders, 6/7 years of English) on the topic "Multiculturalism". To introduce the topic, I used the poem by Levi Tafari "Celebr8" (diversity) and I did the activities suggested by British Council (Mp3 + worksheet+ Key): http://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/britlit/celebr8-levi-tafari
Then they read the text and did 6 different exercises: completing a diagram; Tue/False exercise; sentence completing; finding references and equivalents, rephrasing. In the second lesson they did the listening on "Multicultural Britian" - http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=520278#thetop
