Thanksgiving Pilgrim Pumkin Pie recipe
The recipe attached is for a wholesome, organic, rich pumpkin pie I have dubbed "Pilgrim Pie." If you perfect it, I swear your friends will say it tastes like the Pilgrims made it themselves from field grown pumpkins. This is my own adaptation of various all American, west coast (Californian) style recipes, with photographs from my kitchen. Organic sugar makes all the difference to the flavor, not to overpower the pumpkin. I do not add sugar to the whipping cream, only pure vanilla. The quality of pumpkin, cream, vanilla and other ingredients can vary among brands, so be sure to try a few kinds while you perfect your very own version of "Pilgrim Pie."
