Friendship: What makes a good friend?
This is a nice handout I cobbled together from a variety of sources and modified to get students to talk about what characteristics they find important in a friend.
Begin the lesson with open questions about who has a best friend, why, etc.
A POWERFUL way to close the lesson is to watch a cool youtube short film called "Strangers". Introduce first, briefly, the hatred between Israelies and Palestinians. I drew a quick line map of Europe and the Mediterranean! And then the aggression towards both by skinheads, particularly in Europe.
