Apology Lesson
This is an adpated article on Tiger Woods´ formal apology to his wife on his indiscretions. It includes a vocabulary exercise, as well as some suggested follow up activities. It could be used in conjuction with any unit or functional language on apologising or grammar point of reported speech. A writing exercise can be set for homework, where students are given a topic to apologise about, and, using the apology phrases they find in the text, produce one.
A follow-up speaking in class could be that the boys write a summary of the apology and pretend to be Tiger Woods, and apologise to the girls (his ´wife´), who then report to their "friend" what Tiger said (pretending to be Elin)
