How to Apologize Gracefully
This article can be used for discussion, self-study, homework activity.
For multi-cultural classrooms: help students to stablish a commun ground as far as apologizing is concerned, since it can vary from country to country and cause embarassing situations if not dealt properly. Good for discussion and to encourage the students to express.
Live language: When students are assigned to identify phrasal verbs or idioms out of a contexr and to apply them in a situation that is real for them, the language become alive and they are more likely to remember, the same happens with grammar structures, once life was given to the language, it is no longuer just words in a book.
