I found this useful and fun. The students are asked to think about meaning but actually its more about function and form and of course the answer to the last question reveals that the meaning is irrelevant its all nonsense and it can mean what you want it to mean. Naturally they tend to come up with the same answers. I start with prediction from the picture and giving some of the antiquated vocabulary the students then guess the vocabulary. Its very good for exam classes where they have to guess unfamiliar words in context.
