MUMBO JUMBO - Scrabble game - Vocabulary, Wordsearch
This game is called MUMBO JUMBO. I remember when I was at school it was simply called "Wordsearch" but I love it and my students enjoy it as a filler or end-of-the-lesson-reward. MUMBO JUMBO is similar to a one-player Scrabble game, you can either give on sheet to every student or let them work in pairs or groups, it all worked out for my classes. The object of the game is to make as many words as you can out of the letters provided. Each letter may be used only ONCE in one word. To make it more challenging you could set a time limit (I usually use my hourglass for 2 minutes). This worksheet has two MUMBO JUMBOs the first one is for "BREAKFASTCLUB" the second one for "FOOTBALLPLAYER". My students got about twenty words out of the letters pretty easily. Hope you enjoy it.
