"The Media" - a 90-minute lesson (or 2 45m-lessons) to introduce the TasK on this topic for Upper Intermediate or Lower advanced Students
This is a vocabulary worksheet (3 PAGES + KEY included) I´ve just finished to introduce my task "The Media" - Radio, Television, the Press, Internet and Mobiles - together with a quiz which I will have to upload separately, but not today, sorry (It took me hours to reduce this one to 290KB).
Tasks, from general to particular - students write the vocabulary under the right heading. Radio and TV - matching words to definitons. Writing down the names of the TV programmes under the right TV set. The Press: text completing on British newspapers plus finding out the magazines people read according to their interests. Internet and Mobiles: Short quiz in Internet routines plus analysis of a graph on talking on mobile while driving. It took me 2 days to finish this worksheet because I´m going to give it to my 8th graders (level 4 of English - B1) but I also wanted to make it suitable for 10th graders. So I really wanted it to have a wide range of vocabulary to prepare students for the task. Sorry but there was no space left for a B&w version. Have a good night. Hugs, mena :))))
