Editable Advent calendar
Children like to help prepare for the holiday festivities and get in the spirit. It increases their self-esteem to realize just how much, even the littlest ones,can be of real help to their families. Positive, social, affirming behavior is modeled as a "to do" list Advent Calendar. Students are invited to reflect on the gifts they can contribute to the holiday season, as they design and plan an Advent Calendar of how they will prepare for Christmas, that fits their personal family situation. Parents can use the support of their childrenīs cooperative, giving mindset resulting from their reflection and from their contributions with chores, organizing, being busy with creative projects, to reduce what can be holiday stress. Children can build positive memories that will last a lifetime, as they bond deeper with their families by reaching out with thoughtful, helpful, loving acts of kindness as they prepare their hearts for Christmas.
