Valentine´s Day is almost here. A fictitious group of pen pals sends Valentine gifts to their partner class--a locket, Valentine, chocolates and cupcakes, famous statues (Brancusi´s Kiss)and paintings Picasso´s Friendship and Gustav Klimt´s The Kiss), heart shaped candle, conversation candies, balloons, roses, and Elizabeth Barrett Browning´s famous poem :How Do I Love Thee? Let Me count the Ways--all the traditional fare. Students identify which verb forms are used, present simple or present continuous.
