English proverbs
This material gives you the opportunity to teach your students some of English proverbs.
First, they need to match the proverbs to their definitions. Then you dicuss the meaning of them and you may try to find the equivalents of those proverbs in your own language.
The picture by Peter Bruegel may fuel the discussion and make you wanna teach your students some additional proverbs.
The last stage is to assign your students a writing task. I told my students to write an amusing and educative story about the proverb they´ve just drawn. It is a bit challenging but if you only have a creative and talented group, the task´s perfect.
