Jobs- a guessing game
21 conversation cards to practise vocab connected with jobs. Print,cut out the cards,laminate if you wish to do so, put them on the table face downwards. Students divided into groups take turns and read the description of a given job line by line starting from the most general one to the most specific. The rest of the students are to guess which job is being described. If they guess after the first line (the most general line) they are given seven points, after the second , six etc. Remember to make sure students know the vocab used to describe all the jobs. As a follow-up activity you may ask students to prepare their own cards describing other professions. In this way your collection of cards may becom much bigger. Enjoy!
