Jobs matching game.
Instructions: Cut apart the cards and have each student take a strip of paper. Have them find the other people who have sentences related to theirs. For example: Student 1 has card "He is a fisherman" Student 2 has card "She answers the phone" Student 3 has card "He works for a construction company" -- not a match. Student 1 has card "He is a fisherman" Student 2 has card "He catches fish" Student 3 has card "He works on a boat" -- Match! I then have the student sit in the groups that the game has put them together in. I give each group a piece of paper and ask them to make their 3 sentences into one sentence. For example: "A fisherman catches fish on a boat." Please post any questions you might have.
