Deducing meaning from context and identifying parts of speech (B/W included) worksheet
Deducing meaning from context and identifying parts of speech (B/W included)
This worksheet is designed for FCE+ level students. It uses the first part of Lewis Carroll´s famous nonsense poem as a way to help students deduce meaning and parts of speech from context. It also contains a list of what the words are assumed to mean so students can compare their ideas to other people´s as well as extend their vocabulary. I use it to help students with open cloze activities and word formation activities. The template is one of my favourites which was very kindly shared by PhilipR. Thanks Philip!
