This Music Makes Me Feel...
This lesson about music and different music styles grabs students because you play 3 very different music videos on youtube (Meshuggah, Johnny Cash, Amy Adams). They then check their answers on a question grid. After the videos they turn to their neighbor and ask about their opinions, and fill out their grid. Finally, each student fills out a grid of their own musical preferences. Itīs worked extremely well for me so far.
Note: Some questions and answers were adapted from the worksheet "Talking About Music" on this website. But I heavily modified those questions, and made a whole different exercise that is, in my opinion, very successful.
