What does the īs mean ?
An exercise identifying what the īs means in each of the sentences and then placing them into one of three categories- possessives, is or has got.
I have already taught these 3 grammar functions already. Now itīs revising what they know. So I give an example for each category. Then, they can write an additional sentence into each category.
Then , we play a game. I divide them inot 3 teams. Each team produces 3 sheets of paper - possessive, is, has got on each sheet. Then, I say a sentence. Each team listens and holds up the correct sheet of paper. 1 point for each correct one. Minus 1 point for more than 2 papers or not sure.
