IN THE GHETTO by Elvis Presley - Extreme poverty - Multi-activity WS + KEY and links.
Why not think of the less privileged at this time of the year. I made a worksheet dealing with POVERTY. It starts with some general facts about this issue around the world. In the Ghetto by Elvis Presley is the ideal song to introduce the subject. Follows then a series of varied questions and exercises to elicit speaking and conversation, also to give a chance to the weaker ones. Exercises consist in answering questions about the song, a multiple choice exercise, a sentence building exercise and a fill in the gap exercise. To end there is an extra grammar exercise. SS have to complete a text about the WWII ghettoes in the past simple. Finally I added the traditional teacher´s extras that will provide you with extra information about the topic as well as the KEY, audio and YouTube links.
Sorry for the display ! I downloaded my WS and it comes out perfectly. So, I thought I would not waste my time trying to get right now. Too tired and don´t really know what is going on. Will do that later ! Hope you will like it anyway !
