Introductory Find Someone Who...
This is a great activity for the first day of class. I begin by putting an OHP up and elicit from students how to ask their classmates about the various questions. We review wh-questions versus the yes/no versus the present perfect questions. It´s a great grammar review and warm-up too. You can have students circulate and try to get a BINGO or see how many squares they can fill in. I have students circulate for 10 minutes or so, and then I put an overhead on the board and we ask the questions and find out more about each other together for about 15 minutes that first day.
