This is first of the series. I have adapted the President Barack Obama´s speech dated 8 September 2009, when he talked to some high school students on the first day of school. The worksheet was designed to help students appreciate the art of public speaking and the way to structure a powerful and conhesive one. Students are asked to identify the various features of speeches and they can actually apply them to their writing.
