This is a lesson based upon U.S. President Obama´s January 2008 "Yes, we can" campaign speech in New Hampshire. To do the lesson, the teacher should prepare a recording of the speech, which is readily available online, starting from the line, "It was a creed written into the founding documents..." The lesson includes: 1. A worksheet to pre-teach some of the more difficult vocabulary. 2. Questions to practise listening for the gist 3. A cloze activity for use with the speech 4. A worksheet for writing a letter to Obama 5. A wordsearch Enjoy!
