End of the year class compliments
Thanks for downloading this freebie! I hope you enjoy using it in your classroom at the end of the year. The end of the year is a great time to reinforce the classroom community youīve worked so hard to build.
Use these resources to have students create meaningful and character-building gifts for one another that they will cherish for years.
Discuss with your class how to give a good compliment. Use the anchor chart proivided to guide your discussion. Use the list of character traits to jump-start student thinking and help them brainstorm positive qualities about their classmates.
Give each student a class set of compliment cards. Have them write a compliment to each of their classmates. Collect all of the compliments and collate them into individual envelopes for each student. Seal the envelopes and attach the envelope covers.
At the end of the last day of school, pass out the envelopes - no peeking until you get home! Over vacation, students will love reading their compliments. Itīs a great way to reinforce classroom community, raise self-esteem, and promote positive memories of studentsī time in your classroom. I love this activity because itīs meaningful and FREE! Enjoy!
