Crazy Daisy Game Boards for Winter and Summer (2 Games with Cards) worksheet
Crazy Daisy Game Boards for Winter and Summer (2 Games with Cards)
Here are my Crazy Daisy Gameboards. I made the petals with the letter L in WordArt.
You can use them separately or have two teams or groups playing side by side. It is up to you.
Students will need a die and tokens to play each game. The blue board represents winter and the orange board represents summer. For each turn students must roll a die and take a card. Each card contains a word used to describe the type of cold weather we see in winter or the type of hot weather we see in summer. (I looked up synonyms for hot and cold and found these words).
When students pick up a card they must read the word they see and use that word in a sentence. Challenge them to use original sentences. You can keep a record of what sentences have already been used as game play continues.
There are 24 cards for each game (48 in all) that already have words printed on them. There are an additional 24 blank cards (12 for each game) that you can fill in with your own words.
Use these games as they are or adapt them for a winter or summer theme, a unit on adjectives or a lesson using synonyms.
I hope you will find them useful.
Have Fun!
P.S With a little creativity these layouts can be used for teaching colors or methods of transport. The large center circle can be turned into a bicycle. Words for methods of transport can be printed on the cards or clip art can be used for younger learners. If you use these to teach about summer and winter objects you can easily make the changes you need.
