Monkey with Bananas Gameboard (with Tokens and Black and White Version of the Board, Matching Cards Available in Another File)
About this game:
Your students will need dice and tokens to play this game. I have provided some little monkey tokens for you. But I was not able to include some that were in black and white. The file was getting too big. You may print them in grayscale if it is not too much trouble.
This game was meant to go with my monkey cards that I posted some time ago. Those cards are blank on one side, so you or your students will have to add the words to them (either on the computer or by hand).
I drew the monkeys in Microsoft Office Word. The bananas of course are clip art from the internet.
This game may be part of an animal theme or part of a unit on fruit and healthy eating. If you like this game, you may also like my gameboards that have the shape of an ice-cone, an ear of corn and a pineapple. If you need more animal games, you may want to check out my giraffe gameboard, my turtle gameboard or my lion gameboard. Each of them has matching cards.
For this game…Your students must role a dice and take a card from a deck that you have provided. Then they must read, spell, define or use the word on the card in a sentence before they can move ahead. There are more than 20 spaces on the board.
Have fun! (I will put the links for the monkey cards in the comments section.)
