The children search information about their favourite animal. They have to find out basic facts and can add facts that they personally find interesting.
The national geographic website has got a section with "fast facts" where the children can find the basic information. Aditionally they can find more information ("Did you know that...?") and a complex text on that website.
The children train to use the internet to find information, to read and understand information, to skim a text for keywords and to fill in the information into the blanks.
For this work they also make use of different word fields: animals, bodyparts, activities and abilities of the different animals, their diet and behaviour...
