That Really BUGS Me!
Students learn words/phrases for discussing dislikes. They rate certain events based on how annoying they are, and then compare/discuss them with their classmates´ answers.
This can be followed by a ´party role-play´ in which each student is given an annoying trait to act out at the ´party´ (Eg. You talk loudly on your cell phone. OR You stand really close to people when you´re talking to them. OR You don´t make eye contact with people). Students mingle as if at the party, and act out their trait while trying to figure out the annoying habits of the other ´guests´. Take up and discuss degree to which it annoys people, with the class.
