Learning from our mistakes - using a correction code (context: describing a house)
I believe this is still one of the most appropriate exercises to make students learn from their mistakes and improve not only their grammar skills but also their writing skills. The sentences were taken from my students´ (7th graders, 3rd year of English, A2 level) written tests on the topic "My House". 1st - students spot the mistakes and underline them; 2nd - they identify the type of mistake (Word order, Verb Tense, Spelling.....); 3rd - they rewrite the sentences.
