This is a fun activity to practice stress in compound nouns. Why do you stress the first word in "stop sign" but the second word in "green light"? Because "stop sign" is a compound noun and green light is just an adjective and a noun! Students practice stress in compound nouns in the context of driving by attempting to "drive home" through the maze.
