Working with this calendar, that children love to color, you can explore general vocabulary (chocolate eggs,heart,sweets, cookies,mother,father,friends,boyfriend,girlfriend,red,turkey,pumpkin,witch,etc). You can also choose an specific holiday and talk about it. Later they can work in pairs or small groups building up their own calendar and choosing the special holidays of their country (in my case Brazil). They can draw or find pictures (magazines,newspapers) and make a poster to fix in the classroom mural. They write the months and the corresponding vocabulary in English.
