Hotel Reservation Form
There is a Hotel reservation card and the students have to write questions to get the information from the customer. I emphasized that these should be polite questions so not, "Whatīs your name?" rather, "May I have your name please?"
(This idea is not my own, rather it is from ESL Flow, specifically: http://www.eslflow.com/Hotel_booking___reservations_ESL_lesson.pdf
Now I realize that this is a pushing the rules a little bit, so if it is deemed inappropriate let me know and I will certainly remove it; but let me explain. I tried using the ESL Flow version and I spent a long time trying to explain to my students that they werenīt supposed to fill out the card with their name and phone number, which they all started to do. It occurred to me that if it looked more like an actual registration card then it would be more readily apparent what the activity actually is.
Iīve used this twice since then and it worked well as it appears here. Basically I took their idea and I jazzed it up a little. Iīm sharing it because I think that itīs useful, I donīt really need the points so if itīs a problem Iīll take it down.)
