Using grid paper, have the students follow these instructions to see how similar each of there drawings end up being. Then have the students draw their own shape and write out the instructions for drawing it. They can exchange sheets and without seeing the original drawing try and recreate it using the written instructions. Gives the students practice in reading and following instructions and then writing instructions. Have the students keep there shapes and instructions simple.
