Organizing information into a five-paragraph persuasive essay
In this activity, students take the sentences and rearrange them to make a logical, five-paragraph persuasive essay. As an intermediary step, students should use a persuasion map or other outlining tool to arrange the sentences logically. In their final essay, students are allowed and even encouraged to add transitional phrases, but they must be sure to use all of the sentences provided. I have included the original essay, to be distributed after the assignment has been completed. Designed for my 7th and 8th grade EFL students.
