I am now, after more than 5 decades in the work force, officially semi-retired. New hobby: gardening. Old hobby restarting: table tennis. I still have some classes to teach and materials to design, many of which I will continue to share with the dear members of ESLPs. You may come across my materials on Facebook and my blog.

Mini Book 11: Mexico in colour and greyscale
My last mini book, Brazil, proved very popular with my own pupils so I have done a similar one on Mexico. The children really enjoyed my comprehension questions and my personalisation of the story when I ask them related questions about Japan. More information on this story and how to use it can be found on page 3. Sorry that I havent been very ...

Capital Track T in full color, black and white and blank.
This upper case T has a different vocabulary set from the lower case letter. I have thickened some lines keep the child on the right track. Suggestions on how to use the worksheet and a key can be found inside. I will complete the set but I know that suitable vocabulary is limited for the missing letters. I will see what I can come up with.

5 in a row phonic spinners 1 with scorecards and instructions

The teacher, out of direct sight of the students, takes a paper clip and pencil or chopstick and spins the clip around the pencil point in the /sh/ s...

Words and Sentences 3 with answer key.
The first one in the series came out 7 months ago. This one focuses on the affixes -ence and -ance, which are difficult when it comes to spelling because they generally sound the same, if root is ant, then we use ance and if the root is ent we use ence, but English seems to have exceptions everywhere. The key is on page two.

3 more pages of Phonic Fun with or: worksheet, story and key (#20)
Hi, Im quite busy right now thats why my worksheets are not being produced and uploaded regularly. Perhaps Ill have more time next week. See my account for other worksheets in this series. The stories are classified as "decodable", but unlike many so called decodable stories these have over 90 percent decodable text as opposed to the 40- 60...

New Alphabet Tracks: letter g in full color, black and white and blank.
This is another of my "new" "Alphabet Tracks" Another idea is to provide players with a list of the words and they have to try and complete the ‘spelling’ track without any errors and without reference to the list. The child holding the list checks the spelling of the other player/s. More information and a key inside. Todays other c...
