INKHEART - behind the scenes
Another Inkheart ws - this one is about some trivia behind the scenes (interesting for teenagers). It requires reading and then vocabulary work on the text itself. Again, regardless of the ws, I do recommend the book(s) and the movie to all of you and your sts who love fantasy.

HERCULE POIROT- detective magnifique
My kids loved Poirot - he was funny, yet clever and worth admiration. They wanted more, so we combined TV-series(this is The Veiled lady) and reading Agatha Christie. The great thing about it is that Poirot speaks the French(i. e. Belgian) English, so they love correcting his word order and pronunciation. This is a classical ws to check understandi...

THE SNOW QUEEN MINIBOOK
This is my first minibook ever (thank you, DedicatedTeacher, for the free template). But my Snow Queen project this year just wouldnt be complete without it. (I only made the colour version, but I guess it could come out nicely printed on a b&w printer as well.) I hope you find it useful. Its just such a lovely story to use during winter.(btw, ca...

CRIME VOCABULARY
This is a fill-in (with list of words provided) on court and crime vocabulary. I found it very useful while doing the crime units, and after doing the ws, we played word games with the given vocabulary and I had pairs of students write crime stories using the list of given words. It was very useful and fun, especially the follow-up story writing.

elementary or intermediate? - that is the question
I use this sometimes when I get a new group and Im not sure about their knowledge level. It can also be used for revision or as a test, but I sometimes just use it to play games with it. It helps me assess the level, because it covers some basic things, but also checks some vocabulary finessing, spelling problems and tenses. Try it!

OUR FAVOURITE TOYS - original rhymes for kids shows
This is a small collection of rhymes I wrote for my advanced preschoolers and their final performance (they performed them in a theatre for their parents and the rest of the audience), including a theme song from their coursebook at the end. The material includes costume&prop suggestions and a choreography for each line, and also the link for the...
