Christmas is coming - beautiful poetry and activities
This is my choice of absolutely beautiful Christmas poetry by the Ghignas, and activities based on it. I use it for all levels, its such lovely imagery, wonderful language, delightful rhythm, that your lessons will practically plan themselves. Christmas doesnt always have to be the typical songs - you can expand and enrich with poetry like this.

LIMERICKS, part 3 - funny limerick story with 2nd conditional
This time I had fun with my own limerick story and used it to practise the 2nd conditional. Limericks are so much fun and they improve your sts intonation, pronunciation and vocabulary, so if you havent tried using them in class yet, try. Youll have fun!

Mary Poppins
Who would have guessed modern kids would love Mary Poppins?! Just goes to show you never can tell until you try. My elementary students loved the movie, the songs, the worksheet, the movie word games... They all tried to snap their fingers to tidy up their rooms, too (it didnt work though)... If you try this, please, let me know how it went.

This worksheet was created for my advanced students. It is a comprehension worksheet, a follow-up for the movie Stardust, but I integrated lots of grammar into it, so there are conditionals, reported speech, word formation, as well as synonyms, translation and writing and reading practice. I hope its useful.

Talking about prejudice with your students - it pays to dare! This is a detailed, several-pages-long lesson plan for several lessons, with discussion, listening (Free your mind by En Vogue) and reading/writing activity, based on a very contemporary text. elementary or intermediate? - that is the question
I use this sometimes when I get a new group and Im not sure about their knowledge level. It can also be used for revision or as a test, but I sometimes just use it to play games with it. It helps me assess the level, because it covers some basic things, but also checks some vocabulary finessing, spelling problems and tenses. Try it!
