Ranking of Characteristics
This is one of my favorite activities to do with students on two levels.
One is it is a vocabulary activity teaching several important words.
But more importantly, it causes students to evaluate various occupations. To judge whats important as a quality in a person. Looks may seem important in a girlfriend, but is it more important than being ho...

Favorite Essay
This is an introduction to essay writing for my Taiwanese students. They need a lot of help with format and structure for paragraphs. This is the first essay guide Ive written, and its more focused on building structure and set phrases. Im also going to have them practice it orally in class. My goal is to be able to ask them and have them sponta...

Superstitions
This is a general worksheet about superstitions. I had to research and find some good ones. All of the superstitions involving pretty girls are obviously the made up ones, the rest are real superstitions.

Book Report
I dont know if this quite fits for this website, but I wrote this for book reports for my students. We do the first book report together. I try to make them read as much as they can every month, and I let them choose their book each time. They have to read and write the report out of class after the first one. Mixed Worksheet
This is a simple little worksheet to throw in for some of the younger kids. It should take a little time, but not much. The most ESL training part is the GAMES words, which should take only a few minutes.

Introductions
This is a general introduction that students can and should practice so that they are familiar with speaking. I suggest having them practice it at home then do it before an audience to prepare them for speaking in front of others as well.

A top sheet for giving directions (B&W)
I found some other sheets that were really nice on this site, but they were all in color, which I cannot afford to print. So I used a lot of other worksheets as the basis. I kept the bottom half blank because (in the class I taught) we used it to set up our own zoo. It was a good activity, in general.
