US Post Office Roleplay
This is one of several lesson activities I have done with Japanese high school students who will have to deal with daily life in the United States. Students practice the dialog in pairs and then take the part of post office clerk or customer. when they are ready they can then change the italicized words to make their own conversation.

Mars One Discussion
I have used this plan with high school students. I asked student to discuss the pre-listening questions in pairs. Then they watch the video twice, the second time with subtitles. After asking the comprehension questions, it leads to the discussion questions which students can do in groups. This lesson lends itself to conditional practice very well....
