Stardust
This is a very basic worksheet that I used to guide a discussion on the film stardust. You can present information on the characters beforehand or just ask them to think about it and write it up after the movie (the first part). We used the questions as a simple guide to discussion. The kids got very into the discussion. (I have a power point pr...

Technology Questionnaire
This worksheet is to get my class of younger learners practising the vocabulary about changing forms of technology (tvs, phones, music and cameras). It is meant to help them practice the structure do you have? and Did she have as they expected to ask their classmates and their families.

Friday the 13th
This sheet works the same way as shipwrecked. The students have to complete the gaps in the story. You shouldplay a song for each gap. With less able groups you can give them more time

Ghost stories
This is a reading exercise. I normally give different readings to different kids and they can then ask each other questions to get the answers. Ive also done it as a running reading with the text put up in various places. I often start the lesson by cutting the stories in half and having the kids find the person with the other half of their...

Snow White
This worksheet uses a familiar fairytale. It provides a short reading which highlights the typical phrases found in fairytales (the ultimate idea is that you can use this to form a template for the students to write their own story). It also highlights some new vocabulary and there is a reading comprehension which encourages the students not simp...

Present simple question practice
This is a worksheet designed to work as a speaking activity. First, get the students to construct the questions (following the instructions in 1) and then get them to go round interviewing other members of the class. Ive used it with Beginner adults and it worked very well.

Eartquakes 2: How to survive an Earthquake
This is the second part of my earthquake sheet. It can be used on its own as a reading but was originally intended to compliment the other half of the worksheet which practises the third conditional. The sheet doesnt seem to upload well and the first and third boxes are out of sync. I hope this can be cleared up when you download it. If it can...
