Christmas Find and Color
This uses the wonderful drawing from Jan Brett. Students must find and then color many items (over 60). It is more difficult than it looks! A great way to end a Christmas lesson.

Ghost House!
Cool way to practice prepositions (in, on, above, etc.). Two activities: 1) "A Strange Day" to review preps and Halloween characters; 2) "Ghost House" to practice using the words. Good fun!

Christmas Cards (Cursive Script Writing Practice)
This activity focuses on "How to write a Christmas Card." Students will write 4 things inside card (using cursive script). Students can then color and personalize card. My students dont get to practice cursive writing much, so this was a fun way to practice. I actually used 12 different cards, but that was too large for this file (this one h...

Couples Match (for Valentines Lesson Warm-up)
Great warm-up for a Valentines lesson. It is useful to study how names differ in English (in my case, from Japanese). Students "know" the couples, but are not used to seeing them in English. They also need to follow the instructions, so it helps their listening skills as well. You can also use this as a speaking activity: Cut out enough h...

Detective Game
Includes 3 activities: 1) Warm-up Cryptogram: (Answer is "What were you doing yesterday at six oclock?" 2) Main Activity is a Detective game. Best for a large group (20-50 students). Halloween "Who Am I?" Game
A fun, seasonal way to practice some questions: "What do you have?" and "Where are you from?" Students love to hold the cards and to "win" them from their friends, so they are highly motivated to play.

Christmas Origami
Here is a great activity for younger (or young at heart) students. I use this to teach about Christmas in a fun way. They also learn verbs like "fold", "cut", "turn over", by doing those actions. Plus, you get some nice decorations that you can put display. Oh, and do not worry that it is too difficult; if I can make these, anyone can!
