I am now, after more than 5 decades in the work force, officially semi-retired. New hobby: gardening. Old hobby restarting: table tennis. I still have some classes to teach and materials to design, many of which I will continue to share with the dear members of ESLPs. You may come across my materials on Facebook and my blog.

Adverbs and Adjectives: puzzles and keys
Students complete the word search and crossword, then complete the sentences with a suitable adverb from the word search or the correct form of the adjective given in the crossword. This may be a new project for me, depending on the response I get. Putting fun back into the classroom, I hope.

Plurals to Singular Crossword 2 with keys.
After noticing that most worksheets move from the singular to the plural, I decided to reverse the situation. Children are encouraged to write the plurals first and then the singular. This one is slightly more difficult than the first.

Months of the Year: January and February (4 worksheets color and B & W)
(Page 3 updated before any comments were left) I searched the internet for childrens worksheets dealing with individual months of the year. There are some real poor worksheets out there, so I fill another gap with this new series, which I hope you will enjoy. A unique design to indicate the northern and southern hemispheres. I intend to use 24 cou...

Like It Or Not
Linda and Cliff are characters taken from one of my stories. You should find the short dialog useful when talking about hometowns, likes and dislikes. One needs adjectives for descriptive language so this section will get students thinking about them. Here they can use only one and two syllable adjectives to describe each picture. A variety of answ...

Introduce Yourself: 4 character cards and backs (6 pages)
I got the idea for these from Micah. Some ways to use them: Print out and laminate. Give one card to a student and have her introduce herself as the character. Use the other card to ask the other students about the character or for an added challenge have the students ask each other. Have a student introduce the character in the third person ...
