Assisted Suicide Reading Comp.
An edited section from the Assisted Suicide article on Wikipedia. Meant to be paired perhaps with some newspaper articles about assisted suicide (I made this after the death of Kevorkian) or a discussion/debate on the students personal opinions. Meant for TOEFL level students.

Langston Hughes "Passing": Post-Reading Questions
As a part of our unit on The Harlem Renaissance, I have my English 11 students read Langston Hughes short story "Passing." Then, I assign them this worksheet of post-reading questions to answer individually. After that we discuss their responses as a class. This is a great story that can be found in his book The Ways of White Folks. Enjoy!
