I agree, if you ask me, for example, not the best, but my favorite book from a specific era, that might be easier to choose. (-or not- I could list dozens of classics and can �t even say one is "better" than another)
Yet, as the most recent book that I �ve read, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green definitely is a quick favorite for me. It is sincere, realistic and full of wisdom & stupidities of life at the same time. Impossible not to like.

Easy for me. One stands out from the crowd. �Jane Eyre � by Charlotte Bronte. It is the most wonderful love story, beautifully written. It was the author �s wish-fulfillment; she is that person Jane Eyre and so was I when I first read it. It is the prototype for all Mills & Boon type fiction: true love is there, but there is an impediment to be overcome. As I �ve got older, I �ve realised that I am actually more like the mad woman in the attic.
