Hello everyone, actually there is quite a number of flashcard games that can be found on this website: Taboo, Truth or Dare, Find the Frog next to the usual Memory, Matching, Q&A, Bingo and Domino games. Its just not easily found or I have missed the great design here.
Thats why I love to be in a club like this. To have straight access to great ideas and recommendations like all yours. I received amazing input from all of you when I first entered this club: the battleship game, Steal-Bust-Swap&Number, Getting Rich or Try Dying among others. I hope we continue in the same fashion of great sharing and becoming better equipped teachers!!! ![Thumbs Up](http://www.eslprintables.com/forum/images/smiley20.gif)
Today I want to share my latest discovery from the net. I couldnt believe how simple but attractive this flashcard game is. Hope you like it, too. Here you go:
Stepping Stones A spelling test! Make a river on your table, perhaps with string to represent the two banks. The river is full of crocodiles and you and the student(s) can only get across if each of you have ten stepping stones. You and the student(s) take it in turns to give the other a word to spell. The word must be written or drawn on a small piece of paper (=flashcard) which is a stepping stone. If the word is spelled correctly, it can be placed in the river. To balance the winning chances a little, the better students could try to cross the river at wider spots and therefore need to more stepping stones.

I like this idea. You could set a theme (animlas, colours, transport)- or have the students create present simple, present continuous past simeple etc sentences correctly. I think I will use this game idea next time I am introducing a thematic unit - it would make a great formative assessment tool for me as a teacher to find out what the children already know - after the game students could draw a picture or cut one out from magazine, print from the internet - and place it on the back of the flashcard. The students have just made the first set of flashcards for the unit!

Hello dear club mates!
Havent posted anything for quite some time now. Am too busy at times and try to change that. Any suggestions? ![LOL](http://www.eslprintables.com/forum/images/smiley36.gif)
I have discovered a precious printable uploaded by elowe. Its a collection of flashcard games and is fairly cool.
I have asked Emma to join the club, assuming that u would welcome her. AM I RIGHT? ![Smile](http://www.eslprintables.com/forum/images/smiley1.gif)
