THE KISS THAT MISSED - story time
This is a worksheet I made for my students while working on D. Mellings story The Kiss that Missed. I used it to expand their vocabulary and revise the Present Simple and Past Simple Tense. The story is really cute, there are plenty of useful links online for it (link available in the doc). The worksheet is not heavy in colour and contains the k...

Kids on everyday life - how kids interprete everyday situations
This is part 2 inspired by yetigumboots post about the Middle Wife - Ive found some anecdotes on how kids interprete everyday life situations based on lack of linguistic or cultural knowledge. Its funny, and Ive truned it into speaking and writing activities for my English lessons with kids. I hope you enjoy them.

tongue twisters and rhyme - WHY LEARN ENGLISH
Ive used this for a performance with my level 3 group who wanted to perform, but hated siging - its a cool rhythmic rhyme about why learn English and duelling with tongue twisters. We finished off by duelling with the audience, because they didnt want to sing (cool boys, you know), but the response was wonderful. It might come in handy, and its...

This is a follow-up ws for the movie True Lies with Arnie and Jamie Lee Curtis - one of the funniest action movies ever(James Cameron when hes having fun)! SIMON AND GARFUNKEL - poetry or songs???
I decided to look for songs that are borderline poetry and remembered Simon and Garfunkel. I wanted something recognizable but not sth my sts hear on the radio every day. I didnt want many wss or a lot of work for the sts to do, I wanted to create short breaks from double-lessons, or as intro or end to lessons. This is urban poetry with music, and...

toys - matching ws for kids
This is a very simple ws for smaller kids to match toys and their words. The words are all caps, because preschoolers and 1st graders are more comfortable with these. I use it as a ws, but also as a class poster. I sometimes give them colourful wss as a special reward, but its editable so you can print it in b&w if you want to.

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING - reading practice
This is a text I got from a friend and used it for teenage and adult groups. This plan contains a list of activities to do before, while and after reading: the introductory discussion, listening-reading activity, writing project in pairs and group work, and finally, the vocabulary follow-up activity. I found it very motivating for teenagers and adu...
