Alternates to PowerPoint
I made this lesson to introduce alternative presentation programs to my EFL students at the university level. Most of my students already have a lot of experience using Microsofts PowerPoint so I wanted to show them that they have other choices. In this case, we looked at the pros and cons of Google Presentation, Prezi, and Keynote. There is a dis...

This is a pair activity to practice vocabulary comprehension. One partner reads the sentence first, which is like a definition. Then the other partner reads the word. Finally, decide if the sentence and the word are a match. The print includes a blank template for teachers to insert their own vocabulary.

Parts of Speech Review
I made this print to help students review the parts of speech. Students review the names of the parts of speech, practice identifying the parts of speech in sample sentences. The print makes the point that some words can be used as more than one part of speech. There is also a crossword in which students must write in the parts of speech as answers...

Antonym Pairs
I use these antonym cards to teach opposites and to put students into randoms pairs. I cut up the cards and distribute one to each student. Students must then mingle and find the student with the opposite word card. They must be careful that the part of speech also matches. This activity is a good set up for pair work.
